A group of 1E's with Katie Crowley, Associate Dean for Administration & Chief of Staff
On March 11, during the spring recess, the Catholic Law evening division brought together students, alumni, and newly admitted candidates for an engaging networking reception. Hosted and sponsored by alumni at Akin in Washington, D.C., in partnership with the Alumni & Development Office, the annual event highlighted the enduring strength of the school's network. Staff from Admissions and the Office of Career and Professional Development also joined the gathering, helping to create a vibrant atmosphere centered on building meaningful connections and fostering professional growth.
Stephen C. Payne, Dean and Knights of Columbus Professor of Law, offered a warm welcome to the attendees. Drawing from his travels across the country, Dean Payne shared that Catholic Law alumni everywhere consistently highlight the enduring sense of community they experienced as students—one that continues well beyond graduation. He also provided positive updates on recent institutional progress and proudly introduced Katherine I. Heise, a 2019 graduate of the evening program and current Associate at Akin.
The reception successfully underscored the deep bonds shared within the evening division, highlighting a community that continues to support one another beyond graduation.
