Catholic Law has a thriving part-time J.D. program that offers students a variety of scheduling options to ensure maximum flexibility to earn their degree in four years. Designed around the needs of working professionals looking to complement their current careers or begin a new one, or individuals interested in taking a reduced course load during the day due to caregiving or other responsibilities, our programs and our unparalleled commitment to personal and individualized attention offer today’s law students options that work for their unique needs.

Part-Time Program Features

  • Courses taught by renowned full-time faculty experts and lecturers.
  • Access to summer courses, allowing part-time students an option to complete their J.D. in three-and-a-half years.
  • Access to all Catholic Law and University resources offered to full-time students, including:

  • Flexibly scheduled career advising from the Office of Career and Professional Development, which boasts some of the highest job placement rates in the country;
  • Dedicated Deans of Students counseling and guidance services;
  • Tailored academic advising on course selection and scheduling;
  • Access to outstanding co-curricular offerings that include certificate programs, centers and institutes, journals, summer abroad programs, Moot Court, and trial team;
  • Clinical opportunities specifically designed for Catholic Law part-time evening students;
  • A thriving array of student organizations, including dedicated and active advocacy and community-building student groups designed for part-time students, including the Evening Law Students Association (ELSA) and the Parent Group; and

Part-Time Evening Hybrid Track

Designed around the needs of traditionally-scheduled working professionals looking to complement their current careers or begin a new one, classes combine in-person learning options with remote classes and generally meet between 6:15 and 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Part-Time Day Track

Designed around the needs of parents and caregivers or working professionals with flexible schedules, Catholic Law’s part-time day track offers students an option to take a reduced course load during the day to balance commitments outside of law school.
