John N. Sharifi, a lecturer at Catholic Law, was recently honored with the prestigious “Leader in Law” award during an award ceremony by The Daily Record and the Maryland State Bar Association. This annual honor is reserved for a select group of attorneys or judges who demonstrate excellence in practice and, more importantly, stand out as mentors and stewards of the profession. The Maryland General Assembly issued a Citation commemorating Mr. Sharifi’s achievement, and The Daily Record published a profile that can be seen here.
Mr. Sharifi is a public defender in the Appellate Division of the Maryland Public Defender’s Office. He is a long-time lecturer of Evidence and Advanced Evidence at the law school and will be teaching Criminal Law beginning this fall.
