Designed for traditionally scheduled working professionals looking to complement their current careers or begin a new one, the Part-Time Evening Hybrid Program combines the flexibility of remote learning with the benefits of in-person legal education. In-person and online synchronous classes are generally held Monday through Thursday between 6:15 and 9:30 p.m.
During the first two years of the program, students follow a structured schedule that includes in-person classes on campus two evenings per week, along with remote coursework offered two additional evenings per week.
After the second year, certain required upper-level courses may be built into students’ schedules, while students also have the flexibility to select additional courses based on their academic interests, professional goals, and course availability. Depending on course selections and scheduling needs, students may need to attend classes on campus up to four evenings per week, though some students may be able to reduce the number of evenings they come to campus by incorporating available online, hybrid, or daytime course offerings into their schedules.
Students complete 87 semester credit hours, typically over four years without summer coursework, by taking 10-11 credits per fall and spring semester (with flexibility to take between 8 and 12 credits per semester).

Admission to the Bar
Each jurisdiction sets its own criteria for admission to the bar and to sit for its bar examination, including an applicant’s legal education. As graduates of an ABA-accredited law school, graduates of Catholic Law should satisfy most jurisdictions’ current legal education requirements and thus be eligible for admission to the bar in most states. That said, students applying to the Part-Time Hybrid JD Program should check with the jurisdictions in which they may seek admission to the bar to ensure that graduation from this program will make them eligible for taking the bar exam and being admitted to the bar in those jurisdictions. For example, because of limits New York places on the use of distance education, graduates of the Part-Time Hybrid JD Program cannot currently sit for the bar exam in New York without acquiring a waiver from the New York Court of Appeals. Catholic Law will assist any students wishing to take the bar exam in New York with the application for a waiver from the Court.
