On February 12, the Law & Technology Institute (LTI) and the Law & Technology Institute Alumni Association (LTIAA) convened for a dynamic discussion titled "Exploring Law & Tech: Program Overview and Perspectives from the Alumni and Faculty." The event showcased the depth of the institute’s academic offerings and the practical expertise of its leadership. The first panel provided a comprehensive program overview featuring Megan La Belle, Dean for Academic Affairs and Co-Director of LTI, alongside fellow Co-Director and Professor of Law Elizabeth Winston. They were joined by adjunct professors Christopher W. Savage, a Partner at Davis, Wright, Tremaine LLP, and Patrick Halley ‘10, President and CEO of the Wireless Infrastructure Association, who offered valuable insights into the intersection of legal education and the evolving technology sector.

The event continued with a second panel dedicated to the professional journeys of successful graduates, illustrating the tangible career benefits of the program. Alumni shared their diverse paths and emphasized the critical role the LTIAA community plays in professional development. The impressive lineup of speakers included Will Holloway ‘19, Legal Advisor to FCC Commissioner Olivia Trusty, and Kathleen Kirby ‘91, a Partner at Wiley Rein LLP. Providing perspectives from the corporate and specialized legal sectors were Jessica Retka ‘14, Associate General Counsel for Privacy Infrastructure and Tech Solutions at Meta, and Amirali Sharifi ‘16, a Director at Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox PLLC.
