Noelle W. Newman, a 2005 graduate of Catholic Law, has been named one of three new judges for the Baltimore City District Court. Since 2022, she has worked as counsel for PK Law’s General Litigation Group, handling domestic relations, civil litigation, and criminal defense. Previously, Newman spent 15 years at the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office, including service as deputy state’s attorney and as an assistant state’s attorney for district, juvenile, and circuit courts.
In a statement recognizing the appointees, Governor Wes Moore highlighted their qualifications and commitment to justice. "The Anne Arundel County Circuit Court and Baltimore City District Court are gaining four exceptional legal minds who have dedicated their careers to upholding the law," he stated. "Their collective experience—from public defense to prosecution and federal service—has prepared them well for the bench."
