The Immigration Law and Policy Initiative (ILPI) proudly announced Ashley Feasley as its inaugural Legal Expert in Residence. She will be researching and teaching at the Law School during the 2025-2026 academic year. A nationally recognized authority on immigration policy, Feasley is leading a critical fact-finding project to examine the impact of mass deportation policies on children and families. This research, conducted in partnership with the Center for the Advancement of Children, Youth and Families at Catholic University's National Catholic School of Social Service, is set to culminate in a comprehensive report slated for release in 2026.
In addition to her research, Feasley will teach immigration-related courses in the spring and summer of 2026 and recently contributed her expertise to a panel discussion on mass deportation policy. ILPI Director Stacy Brustin expressed enthusiasm for Feasley’s appointment, stating, “We are extremely fortunate to have one of the nation’s leading policy experts on immigration join us. Ashley’s extensive experience in senior leadership roles within non-profits and government will enrich our research, teaching, and advocacy efforts on critical immigration policy issues.”
