Catholic Law's Law and Public Policy (LPP) Program held its 2025 kick-off event on Tuesday, September 9, at Murphy’s Grill, with special guest Sean Cooksey, Counsel to Vice President J.D. Vance and former Chairman of the Federal Election Commission. After a warm welcome from LPP Director Brian Svoboda, Cooksey shared with students an engaging recount of his career journey, moving from private practice at a law firm to impactful roles in public service. The event gave students in the LPP Program, as well as others curious about the program, valuable insights into the intersection of law and public policy, all while networking with peers and professionals.
