Professor Marshall Breger was the recipient of an American Jewish Press Association's (AJPA) 44th Annual Simon Rockower Jewish Journalism Award. He was awarded first place, the Louis Rappoport Award for Excellence in Commentary. This honor recognizes his three compelling opinion pieces that thoughtfully address complex issues within the Jewish community: "The Tyranny of Unity", "Is Antisemitism Eternal?", and "Yes, Context Matters".
In 1979, as a century tribute to him by his sons, the Rockower family created the Simon Rockower Jewish Journalism Awards to honor Simon Rockower and his deep love for the craft of Jewish Journalism. These prestigious awards honor achievements in Jewish media. Click here to learn more about AJPA and the Simon Rockower Jewish Journalism Awards.
