Professor Lucia Silecchia, Associate Dean of Faculty Research at Catholic Law, has earned third place in the 2025 Catholic Media Association Awards for Best Regular Column (General Commentary) for her column, On Ordinary Times. Reflecting on her work, Professor Silecchia shared, "I began the column in 2019 and since then it has appeared in diocesan newspapers across the country — who still receive it twice a month. It began as recreational, non-law related writing to reflect on how the sacred is found in the simple and I was happy that it was of interest to readers."
