Willistine HarrisWillistine Tarsha Harris '20, a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division’s Housing and Civil Enforcement Section, will be at the April 2023 Ohio Valley Fair Housing Center and the Fair Housing Program of Jefferson County. Harris will be highlighting the program, which celebrates Fair Housing Month by helping residents learn more about their rights and responsibilities, as well as the complaint process at a series of free seminars.

Highlighting this year’s program is an appearance by Willistine Tarsha Harris, a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division’s Housing and Civil Enforcement Section.

Harris earned a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice from Alabama State University, where she received Latin honors. After college, Harris worked as a teacher at an alternative school in Washington, D.C.

For the past 24 years, she has held various positions in the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. As a trial attorney in the Housing and Civil Enforcement Section, she works to enforce the Fair Housing Act, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act and Title II of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
