An amicus curiae brief filed at the Supreme Court of the United States by twenty-seven states quoted a recent law review essay published by Professor Chad Squitieri of The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law (Catholic Law). Filed in support of the respondents, the amicus curiae, or “friend of the court,” brief cited Squitieri’s essay regarding the constitutionality of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s statutory funding mechanism.
