When The Hill released their 2019 list of top lobbyists in Washington, D.C. yesterday, it was exciting to see the name of Catholic Law alumnus Jim Riley ’94 amongst the other top lobbyists. The annual list honors individuals who, throughout the course of the year, have proven to be most effective in working on behalf of their clients. Riley is being recognized for his success in obtaining a rare exemption from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) for members of the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA), of which Riley is Chief Counsel and Senior Vice President for Government Affairs.
