CUA Law Professor Marshall Breger spoke at a seminar regarding Nationalism, Politics and Religion: the Backdrop to Conflict Over Holy Places in Jerusalem on March 27, 2018, held at The Center for Religious Studies (ISR) at Bruno Kessler Foundation (FBK).

Nationalism, Politics and Religion: the Backdrop to Conflict Over Holy Places

Breger discussed the impact of politics, religion and nationalism on disputes over various holy places in Jerusalem specifically the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Temple Mount/ haram-al Sharif. The interplay between those dimensions of human culture and law was also be addressed. Recent UNESCO resolutions regarding Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Nablus were analyzed.
