On February 13, 2018, CUA Law Pro Bono Coordinator Aoife Delargy was awarded a Le Hackie Award by D.C. Legal Hackers for her work with the Washington Council of Lawyers (WLC) in organizing a Hacky Hour and Coding Justice Events.

The Le Hackie Awards is DC Legal Hackers annual event to celebrate the awesome achievements of the legal hacking movement in DC.

Coding Justice Event

In 2016, Delargy organized the WLC's Hacky Hour event in which legal technologists shared ways technology has assisted with access to justice issues. Following the success of last year's event, Delargy co-organized "Coding Justice" with Michael Lukens of Capital Area Immigrants' Rights (CAIR) Coalition and in partnership with DC Legal Hackers.

The event presented two problems that could be "hacked" by technology: fraudulent process of service aka "sewer service" and youth homelessness. Attendees, which included tech savvy individuals and attorneys working in the issue areas, formed two teams to discuss how the problems could be solved. There was a follow up event entitled "Coding Justice Part II" on February 15, 2018 at Georgetown Law.
