Maryland Governor Larry Hogan recently announced the appointments of four state Circuit Court Judges. Two of the four appointees are CUA Law graduates, The Honorable Karen Mason '92 and Ms. Dorothy Engel '00.
The Honorable Karen H. Mason is currently serving on the District Court for Prince George's County, and will fill a vacancy on the Circuit Court for Prince George's County. Prior to the bench, Judge Mason served as a Magistrate for the District Court for Prince George's County, an Assistant State's Attorney for Prince George's County, and a clerk for a Prince George's County Circuit Court judge.

Dorothy M. Engel is currently serving as an Assistant State's Attorney for Prince George's County, and will fill a vacancy on the Circuit Court for Prince George's County. Her previous experience includes serving as an Assistant State's Attorney for Baltimore City, a clerk for an Anne Arundel County Circuit Court judge, and a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army Reserve.
