2026 Judicial Clerkship Opinion Writing Conference

Application Information

Applications are welcome from individuals who have received a 2026-2027 invitation to clerk in the chambers of a federal judge (Article III District Court or Court of Appeals only) or a 2026-2027 state appellate court clerkship. The deadline for receipt of applications is November 30, 2025.

PLEASE NOTE: ATTENDANCE AT ALL EVENTS, INCLUDING THE WELCOME RECEPTION ON
FEBRUARY 19, 2026 IS MANDATORY. ANY ACCEPTANCE IS EXPRESSLY CONDITIONAL UPON
THAT UNDERSTANDING.

Applicants will be notified by email after the deadline for applications. Conference capacity is
up to thirty-five (35) conferees.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED ON A ROLLING BASIS; ONCE THE
CONFERENCE LIMIT IS REACHED, OTHER APPLICATIONS WILL GO ON A WAIT LIST.

Applicants for the Judicial Clerkship Opinion Writing Conference should submit the following

number, as well as the contact information of the Judge for whom you will be clerking (mail,
phone, and email)
