CUA Law E-newsletter - July 2016
Dean Daniel F. Attridge
A letter from Dean Daniel F. Attridge:

Dear CUA Law Alumni, Family, and Friends,

This is the relatively quiet time in our academic cycle.  We’ve finished the 2015-16 academic year, and preparations are underway for the 2016-17 year.  Although some summer session classes are being held – on campus as well as in Italy and Poland – and our 2016 graduates are busy studying for the bar exam, most students are focused on their summer jobs while our faculty turn their attention to summer research and writing projects.

Hopefully, everyone will make some time for vacation before our busy schedule of classes resumes in mid-August.  This is a brief report on what’s been happening and what’s coming up:

1. CUA Law Annual Publications.  Our annual magazine for alumni and friends, called CUA Lawyer, has just been published.  It should be arriving in your mailbox soon (assuming that we have your current address on file).  Or, you may read it online by clicking here. In CUA Lawyer, our feature article profiles some of our outstanding students who are making the most of the CUA Law Advantage – the practical, focused, and connected legal education that we offer.

Law and Public Policy Program Students Honored at Annual Brunch

Two CUA Law publications are now available online.  The Law School’s Honor Roll of Donors presents a list of alumni and friends who have supported CUA Law by sharing not only of their treasure, but also of their time and talent. For the second year in a row, CUA Law is publicly recognizing its many volunteers who have given considerable time and expertise to the Law School through an array of programs. We thank all of our donors for your considerable investment of time, talent, and treasure.

The Summer 2016 edition of CUA Lawyer is also available online and will be reaching your mailboxes soon.  In our feature story, "CUA Law Advantage in Action: A Student’s Perspective", we are proud to describe the accomplishments of just a few of our talented students.
