Eligibility. CUA Law Students in good standing may participate in one or both CUA programs over the summer.  

Students from other schools should request permission from their respective academic dean or registrar to participate.  All applicants, regardless of school, must have completed one full year of law school, full- or part-time, to be eligible. All applicants must be in good standing. For students at other law schools, our office must receive a letter from the home school stating that the applicant is in good standing.

An application will not be considered complete until the $100 non-refundable application fee is received.

Academic rules and policies. The CUA Law academic rulesRules of Professional Conduct and the CUA Code of Student Conduct apply to CUA Law's Summer Abroad programs. All participants must abide by the Catholic University policies while studying in summer law abroad programs.

Refund Policy:  If Catholic University must cancel the program due to unforeseen circumstances, students will receive a full refund of all tuition and fees paid, including the application fee. Students will receive prompt notification of such a cancellation via e-mail and a written letter.  If such a cancellation occurs after a deposit has been made, the program directors and staff will use their best efforts to make arrangements for each student enrolled to attend a similar program, if the student so desires. 


For both programs:  Written notification of withdrawal from the program must be received by the program office. No verbal cancellations will be accepted. (Note that airfare is the sole responsibility of participants, and students must work with ticket issuer to negotiate any possible refund.)
