CUA Law Alumnus and BOV Member Appointed as an Advisor to the President of Poland

CUA Law Alumnus and BOV Member Rafal Kos, PhD, LL.M. was appointed by Andrzej Duda, President of the Republic of Poland, to serve as an advisor to the President. Dr. Kos’ field of activity will focus around issues connected with improving regulations in the scope of commercial law. 

The appointment was preceded by Dr. Kos’ current and previous cooperation with the Polish Government and Parliament. He was a member of the following: the Parliamentary Justice and Human Rights Committee on Class Actions (2009); the Minister of Justice Team for the Amendment of the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Law (2012); the Minister of Economy’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Expert Team (2013);  he is currently a member of the Business Law Task Force at the Ministry of Investment and Economic Development (2015). He graduated from CUA Law in 2010 with an LL.M.

On October 19, 2018, Dr. Kos received the Distinguished Recent Alumni Award from the Columbus School of Law.
