CUA Alumnus and SEC Commissioner Daniel Gallagher announced after four years of service, his final day at the Commission on October 2nd.

Commissioner Gallagher was highly regarded in the industry for his innovative approach, his willingness to seek compromise and his broad grasp and investigation of issues confronting the securities markets. In his departing speech he highlighted his ongoing commitment to the Law School, which he has repeatedly served while Commissioner. He noted that he was looking forward to continuing the lecture series for the Securities Law Program that he helped to initiate this year.

Professor Lipton, the Program's Director, said that
"this comment by Commissioner Gallagher, in his departure notice, reflects his loyalty to and his belief in the Securities Program and the Law School."
