CUA Law professor Lucia Silecchia will be speaking at several events in October on the subject of the Papal encyclical Laudato Si’. See below. 

On Friday, October 2, Professor Silecchia presented a paper at Liberty Law School called Social Love” as a Vision for Environmental Law: Laudato Si’ and the Rule of Law at the Liberty Law Review Symposium entitled “Law, Stewardship and the Dominion Mandate: Environmental Policy from a Christian Legal Perspective.” The paper will be published by Liberty Law Review in 2016.

On Thursday, October 8, she will be the dinner speaker for the Diocese of Austin’s annual Red Mass. The talk is entitled, “Laudato si’ and Care for Our Common Home: What does it mean for the legal professional?”

On Tuesday, October 13, she will be a panelist at a Loyola Law School discussion in Chicago entitled, “Pope Francis’ Moral Message: Care for the Earth, Care for the Poor, and Our Environmental Responsibility.”

And on Monday, October 26, Professor Silecchia is chairing a full day conference at The Catholic University of America entitled, Laudato Si’ and the Protection of “Our Common Home": Faith and Science in Conversation.
