Dear CUA Law Alumni, Family, and Friends,

As we enjoy the changing colors of the autumnal season, we’re now in the home stretch of our fall semester.  October has been an especially eventful and productive month for us at CUA Law.  This is a brief report on what's been happening and what’s coming up:

2016 CUA Law Reunion Weekend is a Success

Arriving from all across the country, hundreds of CUA Law School graduates, friends, and family attended Reunion 2016, held October 14-16 at the Law School and other locations around Washington, D.C. The busy weekend events help old friends and classmates reconnect, keep up with law school developments, and engage with new opportunities to support their law alma mater in the future.

“Reunions are a great opportunity for alumni to reconnect with each other and the CUA Law Community,” noted Corley Raileanu, Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations. “They also encourage alumni to reflect on their time at CUA Law and the role the CUA Law community has played in their lives.”

150 alumni committed $1,674,986 to the Law School in honor of their CUA Law Reunion. Ten class years were invited to participate in Reunion 2016: 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, & 2011. To view photos from reunion weekend, visit the photo album section of CUA Law's facebook page here.

A Celebration of Scholars and Benefactors

A Celebration of Scholars and Benefactors, held October 13, 2016, at Heritage Hall in Father O'Connell Hall at The Catholic University of America, was an evening designed to honor and thank the people who have given many students the gift of a Catholic education. Francisco Hernandez, Jr. ’90 and Nicole Valente, a junior nursing major, Class of 2018, both told their compelling stories to a room full of guests that included scholarship awardees, benefactors, and university representatives. Over thirty scholarship donors and scholarship recipients represented CUA Law at this University wide event.
