- Cost of Attendance -

The cost of attending a university is typically made up of two budgets: Tuition & Fees charged by the university and Living Expenses which may vary from student to student based on their living situation and spending habits. Students are encouraged to utilize the following information to plan and prepare for the cost of attending CUA Law School.

- Health Insurance -

All full-time students (day program) are required to have health insurance coverage. CUA provides health insurance and will charge the student's account for this coverage ($1,277 for the 2009-2010 academic year) unless the student is covered under another policy and completes appropriate waiver procedures. The CUA Student Accounts Office will inform students of waiver procedures in the summer prior to enrollment.

Please visit http://studentinsurance.cua.edu/ for more information. Further inquiries regarding Health Insurance should be addressed to Ms. Beverly Rotan at RotanB@cua.edu or 202-319-6634.

- Monthly Payment Plan -

CUA offers affordable payment plans to help meet tuition expenses. A monthly payment plan enables you to break your educational costs into easy-to-handle monthly payments rather than pay for the entire semester in one large sum. They offer a 10 month (June 1 to March 1) and an 8 month (August 1 to March 1) payment plan for the school year. A 3 month semester-only plan for the Fall, Spring, or Summer terms are also available. The monthly payment plan is interest free. You pay only a small enrollment fee to participate.

Please visit www.afford.com to enroll. Further inquiries regarding the Monthly Payment Plan should be addresses to the Student Accounts Office (202-319-5036).

- Refunds -

Financial Aid allows for loan funds to be used towards living expenses while enrolled at least half-time. Loan funds will disburse into the student's CUA Account Summary and pay off the existing balance. Funds left in excess will be forwarded to the student as a refund for living expenses.

The Direct Deposit Option is the quickest way to receive a refund. Sign up online via CardinalPay and have the funds directly deposited into your personal bank account. For more information about CardinalPay, please contact the Student Account Office (202-319-5036) or visit their website: http://treasurer.cua.edu/controller/sa/.

Students not signed up for Direct Deposit will receive their refund in the form of a paper check, which may take 5-7 business days after a refund has been calculated.
