Law School Welcomes Senior Alumni for Annual Holiday Luncheon

You must think highly of your law school to continue to attend events there nearly 70 years after graduation. Arthur M. Lane, Class of 1942, was the most senior alumnus to attend the Columbus School of Law’s annual Auld Lang Syne luncheon, held each December to honor the law school’s older graduates and to provide a festive occasion for holiday cheer.

This year’s gathering, a catered affair held on Dec. 3, was typically upbeat. The food, conversation and reminiscing among former classmates was enlivened by a short Christmas carol medley from three talented Catholic University undergraduate students, who performed Hark, the Herald Angels Sing, O Holy Night and Deck the Halls with energy and passion.
Following the meal, Dean Veryl Miles offered a verbal report to the Auld Lang Syne guests about the overall state of the law school, covering such topics as bar passage rates, faculty hires and current symposia.
