This seminar examines a selected number of issues involving the control and allocation of natural resources within the United States and internationally. The issues examined include regulation of oil and natural gas, regulation of energy, environmental issues, control of nuclear waste, and international controls on resources such as the Law of the Sea Treaty. In lieu of final examination, this course requires a qualifying course paper that fulfills one half of the upper-level writing requirement. Refer to Academic Rule X - Writing Requirment and Directed Research. Enrollment is normally limited to twenty students.
