This course studies federal legislation and court decisions protecting the rights of people with disabilities. All titles of the Americans with Disabilities Act and its regulations are studied, and recent cases arising under this law are discussed. Other federal legislation in the areas of employment, education, and housing rights of people with disabilities are also examined. At the discretion of the instructor, this course may include a qualifying course paper that fulfills one half of the writing requirement.
