This course focuses on the various federal laws, both criminal and civil, and on regulations, which become the basis for prosecution and sanctions by federal enforcement authorities, and on the key cases and rulings relating to these provisions. topics include false claims and anti-kickback statutes, “stark” provisions, civil money penalties, exclusions, qui tam actions, investigations, and compliance programs. The final grade for this course will be based on an examination.
