Administrative and Legislative Law | Advanced Courses

This course will consider federal statutes and regulations that are designed to improve the quality of our environment, e.g., Federal Water Pollution Control Act, Clean Air Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, etc. A basic understanding of the statutory schemes will be complemented by theoretical and policy analysis. Discussion of relevant administrative law principles will be incorporated throughout the course. If the instructor allows papers in lieu of examinations, this course may include a qualifying course paper that fulfills one half of the upper level writing requirement.
