Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity was established in 1869 to promote a higher standard of professional ethics and culture in law schools and in the profession at large. The nation's oldest professional fraternity includes among its ranks such distinguished members as William H. Rehnquist, John Paul Stevens, Byron R. White, Antonin Scalia, Anthony M. Kennedy, and Sandra Day O'Connor. Phi Delta Phi's headquarters is located in Washington, D.C., and its organization administers a $300,000 Student Loan Program, scholarship opportunities, student exchange programs, and other awards and benefits.
