Native American Law Students Association
The CUA Chapter of the Native American Law Students Association (NALSA), established in 1989, promotes awareness of the legal, political and social issues involving Indians and Indian Tribes. As sovereign nations, Indian tribes have the authority to create, administer, interpret and enforce laws affecting their lands and people. NALSA also publicizes the field of Indian Law by insuring that Indian Law courses continue to be offered. NALSA is open to all law students--an interest in the rich culture and heritage of Indians and Indian Tribes is the only prerequisite.
