CUA Law Dean is Featured on April Cover of Diverse Magazine

April 21, 2009 - Veryl V. Miles, dean of the Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America, was chosen to be featured on the cover of the April 16 issue of Diverse: Issues in Higher Education.

Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Northern Virginia, the award-winning magazine focuses on issues of interest in higher education to minorities and other readers. Dean Miles also contributed to its lead article, "First Ladies of Law" that solicited opinions on a variety of issues from some of the nation's women law school deans, including the five African-American women who currently serve as deans of ABA-accredited law schools. Miles shared her thoughts on the biggest challenges facing law schools today.

The photograph of Dean Miles selected for the cover was taken on the steps of the United States Supreme Court in late March.
