CUA Law Alumna to Receive 14th Annual Justice Potter Stewart Award
Rainey Ransom Brandt, CUA Law Class of 1995, is one of two recipients of the 14th Annual Justice Potter Stewart Award, to be presented on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Brandt, who serves as special counsel to the Chief Judge of the D.C. Superior Court, is being honored “for her exemplary service as the court's liaison to various interagency committees and her inspiring commitment to pro bono outreach to the D.C. community” according the Council for Court Excellence, which sponsors the annual awards.
Established in 1997 to honor the memory and public service of the late associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, the Justice Potter Stewart Award recognizes individuals and organizations whose work on behalf of the administration of justice has made a significant contribution to the law, the legal system, the courts, or the administrative process in the nation's capital.
