The internet is an important tool in which media through the Columbus School of Law is transmitted to carry out necessary functions of communications, student recruitment, public relations, alumni relations and student admissions.
In order to assure that the Web sites are accurate, presentable and informational, the following guidelines must be met:
Student Organization Websites
Student Organization websites reside within the University's domain. Each organization is given a domain name once the proper procedures have been followed to set up an account for the organization. Once a student organization creates a website, the Dean and Assistant Dean of External Affairs approve it before it is published on the internet.
Below are the requirements of Student Organization Websites:
1.The Law School's Logo must be present on the homepage.
2. Name of the organization that is publishing the page.
3. Name and email address of the person responsible for the upkeep of the site.
4. A link back to the law school.
5. Date of the last update.
To obtain an account through the university, the main computer center (CPIT) must create a directory on the Web server that will contain your files for the Website. Each organization must fill out the WWW Resources form.
Once the account has been activated, you will be notified via email on how to access it. If you have more than one person you would like on the account, please state the number of people for the account and submit their full name, class status and username along with the email.
Each organization is responsible for maintaining and developing their own Web site.
However, if assistance is needed, you may contact computer services at x4444 for help. If a website has gone 6-12 months without being updated, a notification will be sent to the responsible party of the website.
