Tax Law Society

A Tax Law Society has been founded at Catholic University under the leadership of Professor Karla Simon. The inaugural event, a panel discussion, was held on October 30, 2001, with tax practitioners, professors and students sharing perspectives.

The society has four main objectives:
• professional development for students
• facilitating outreach and connection between students, alumni and faculty
• professionalizing the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program that currently exists at the School of Law
• developing writing competitions and other opportunities for students to hone their skills

You can participate in the society, no matter where you are geographically located, by sending your current business information to Jocelyn Leyretana ( or contacting her at 301-588-7383 for more information.
