Rising 2L Kristin Mitcham has been named co-chair of the D.C. Women's Bar Association's (WBA) Amicus Committee. This Committee supports law that promotes issues important to women.

Kristin began her co-chair tenure on July 28, 2017, at the WBA's annual Leadership Retreat, where she spent the day meeting the other committee co-chairs and the WBA Board members.

When asked about the opportunity to be a part of the D.C. WBA Amicus Committee, Kristin Mitcham said, "I am humbled to work with these amazing community leaders to advance and protect the interests of women lawyers and to encourage the spirit of friendship."

Kristin also serves as co-President of CUA Law's Women's Law Caucus. As a 1L member of the WLC, she organized and moderated a highly successful program last March, entitled "May She Please the Court: Highly Successful Women Lawyers Share Their Career Experiences."

In regards to plans for the CUA Women's Law Caucus this upcoming year, Mitcham said, "During the 2017 - 2018 academic year, the CUA Women's Law Caucus will offer numerous events to the Law School student body, faculty, and staff. We will provide networking events, social events, round table discussions, volunteer service projects, and specially tailored Pro Bono opportunities. We look forward to a productive and engaging year."
