Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland

The Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland is bestowed on foreigners and Polish citizens permanently living abroad, who by their activities have made outstanding contributions to international cooperation and to bonds between the Republic of Poland and other nations and countries. Ludwikowski received the award while he was in Kraków attending a symposium on legal issues related to start-ups on December 2.

Below are Ludwikowski's remarks regarding the award:

"Many thanks for your congratulations. I am still taken aback by the news passed to me by Dean Pisulinski and Dry Szwedo. It is a great honor to receive the Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland and I can only emphasize that it was a collective effort that triggered the decision of the President of Poland. It is our collective success---accomplishment of dozens of my American and Polish colleagues (professors and administrators) who for 26 years were teaching and organizing the CUA Programs in Poland. We graduated more than 1,100 alumni ----now experienced attorneys working around the world. It is the network that will continue the "start up" projects which we set up so many years ago and which we will discuss during our conference on December 2nd. at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków."
