CUA Law's Fifth Annual Toast Our Troops event on November 18 at the Union Pub in Washington, D.C., was a success. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni came out to support the event, which was sponsored by the following CUA Law student organizations: The Military & National Security Law Student Association, The Democratic Law Student Association, The Republican National Lawyers Association, The American Constitution Society, and The Federalist Society.

As in previous years, the night featured featured door prizes and guest bartenders. This year's bartenders included Professors Duggin, Harmon, Kurth, Everhart, Assistant Dean and Registrar Stuart Schept, Dean Katie Crowley, and former Dean Maura DeMouy. The guest bartender who won the trophy for raising the most money was Professor Harmon.

All proceeds raised will go to The Special Operations Warrior Foundation. The Mission Statement for the foundation states:

The Special Operations Warrior Foundation to ensure full financial assistance for a post-secondary degree from an accredited two or four-year college, university, technical, or trade school; and offers family and educational counseling, including in-home tutoring, to the surviving children of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps special operations personnel who lose their lives in the line of duty.

The Special Operations Warrior Foundation also provides immediate financial assistance to severely wounded and hospitalized special operations personnel.
