Government Accountability Office (GAO) Retirement Panel

On November 16, 2016, Professor Jefferson served on an expert panel regarding planning retirement in the United States. The event was intended to help inform the GAO's analysis of how the United State's policy could be strengthened. The panel's discussion will be incorporated into a final comprehensive report that the GAO will release in the spring of 2017.

The GAO is an independent, nonpartisan agency that works for Congress. Their mission is to help improve the performance and ensure the accountability of the federal government for the benefit of the American people.
