Professor Mary Graw Leary recently published a book chapter in the American Bar Association publication, The State of Criminal Justice 2015. This publication examines and reports on the major issues, trends and significant changes in the criminal justice system. Professor Leary, the former co-chair of the Victims Committee of the Criminal Justice Section, was invited to contribute to the volume. Her chapter, Crime Victim Rights, examines the current state of crime victim rights on both the state and federal level. Professor Leary, a national expert on the criminal justice system's treatment of crime victims was also asked to contribute to the prestigious Ohio State Criminal Law Journal's forthcoming volume dedicated to the crime victim movement. That article, The Third Dimension of Victimization, advocates for recognizing victimization of the digital person as a contemporary manifestation of criminal victimization. That article is due to be available in the fall of 2015.
