Aurora WheelandDuring the Papal Mass on September 23, 2015, CUA Law first-year student Aurora Wheeland will perform as a member of the CUA Symphony Orchestra. She has been playing the violin for the past twelve years and graduated last May with a Double Major in English Literature and Violin Performance from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Ms. Wheeland has performed locally at venues including Strathmore Hall, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the National Gallery of Art, and internationally at classical music festivals in the United States and in Europe.

Aurora is excited to participate. As she explained, “Participating in the Papal Mass is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I am so grateful to have this experience.” She added, “For me, Catholic University represents the best of both worlds, as it is a unique place in which I can pursue a rigorous law curriculum while also getting the chance to perform for such an inspiring Pope.”
