The Columbus School of Law ranks among the top 50 law schools whose alumni were promoted from associate to partner at the nation’s largest law firms during 2013, according to a new survey from The National Law Journal.
Eight graduates of CUA Law made partner last year, placing the law school 38th on the list.
Each year, the National Law Journal releases “The Top 50 Go-To Law Schools,” a feature that analyzes employment and hiring data supplied by America’s 250 largest law firms. The report covers several categories, such as schools that sent the highest percentage of new graduates to NLJ 250 firms, and schools that NLJ 250 firms most relied upon for first-year associates.
Among the survey’s conclusions based on the data collected: “Large law firm associate hiring ticked up for a second straight year in 2013—welcome news, considering law schools sent more newly minted juris doctors into the job market than ever before.”
