Three hundred and thirty-six Columbus School of Law alumni across the United States have been recognized for their professional standing and accomplishments in the 2014 issue of Super Lawyers Magazine. The group is a combination of “Super Lawyers,” people who have been in practice for a significant length of time, and “Rising Stars,” up-and-comers who are 40 years old or younger, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less.
Published annually by Thompson Reuters and available in state and regional editions, the publication describes itself this way:
“Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.
Super Lawyers Magazine features the list and profiles of selected attorneys and is distributed to attorneys in the state or region and the ABA-accredited law school libraries.”
Super Lawyers Magazine is published in every state and Washington, D.C., reaching more than 13 million readers.
Since 2004, 698 graduates of CUA Law have been listed in the pages of Super Lawyers. It is common for recognized attorneys to be listed for multiple years, though not necessarily sequentially.
The law school’s alumni representation on the Super Lawyers list for 2014 list breaks down this way, filtered by the three primary bar jurisdictions for CUA Law graduates:
|139 (96 Super Lawyers, 43 Rising Stars)
||89 (58 Super Lawyers, 31 Rising Stars)
||20 (13 Super Lawyers, 7 Rising Stars)
