SBA Picnic Opens Students' Eyes to New Opportunities
Decisions, decisions. The opening weeks of law school are full of choices, not the least of which is selecting from among dozens of excellent student organizations in residence at the Columbus School of Law.
More than half of all CUA law students elect to supplement their classroom work with membership in a student-run organization that appeals to them for professional, personal, or social reasons. The groups include the award-winning Law Journal and Moot Court programs.The available choices (below) were on display at the SBA Field Day Picnic and Student Organization Fair, held on Sept. 7 on the green lawn behind the law school.
The three-hour event offered games, food, and social time, but most of all, the opportunity to stop by an organization’s display table to chat with a current member about what the group had to offer.
Most of the students who join an extracurricular organization do so in their first year, and many find that the relationships forged by membership in a group with people who share similar interests last well beyond graduation.
