Foreign law students who are considering earning an LL.M. in the United States are being advised to look at Catholic University’s law school.
In the 2013 edition of “The Black Student’s Guide to Law Schools,” the Columbus School of Law’s one-year LL.M. program is listed as among the nation’s ten best for black foreign students to consider enrolling in. CUA Law’s LL.M. program offers four areas of concentration to choose from. The guide did not discuss its methodology for compiling the list, but wrote:
“The best programs also offer a range of specific areas of legal study. When choosing an LL.M. program, black attorneys from Caribbean, African and European countries should strongly consider the diversity of a law school’s faculty, student body and city.”
The Black Student’s Guide to Law Schools is published by On Being A Black Lawyer, a media company founded in 2008 to report news important to black legal professionals. In addition to a blog, the company produces e-newsletters, events, and social media platforms to engage black legal professionals.
