Law School's In-House Counsel Course Featured
in Latest Issue of Corporate Counsel Magazine

“In-House Counsel Practice,” a course offered to students for the first time by the Columbus School of Law in January 2011, was among a small number of such courses highlighted in the November issue of Corporate Counsel magazine.
Its article, “Law Schools Offering More Courses for In-House Careers,” also quotes Steven Burkhart (above), general counsel for the BIC Corporation and the adjunct lecturer for the course at Catholic University’s law school, which he co-teaches with Professor Stephen Goldman.
Corporate Counsel magazine is a widely read and influential publication among corporate general counsels nationwide. Burkhart, a 1989 alumnus of the Columbus School of Law, is quoted:
"In my day," Burkhart says about offering practical experience, "the size of a school's law library was a critical factor in grading your law education. Now, what can be more irrelevant?"

“In-House Counsel Practice” was immediately popular with students, resulting in a wait list for open seats. It is scheduled to be offered again in January, 2013
